COMIC BOOK COVERS

These are some covers of comicbooks that were published in the late 70ies and early 80ies. All in German language. .

This one, "Ein Berliner in New York" is a biographical comic that was published 2 years ago in a German Newspaper as a daily for 2 weeks. Some chapters were exhibited last year in Germany and will be shown this year in the Jewish Museum in Berlin .One of these days I will translate it into English

These weird baseball cards were made in the late 80ies, I guess. I am not sure if it was for Topps.Could be another company that went bankrupt. Anyway they were never paid for or published.
The pencils were done by Drew Friedman and the concept came probably from Mark Newgarden. Two very funny men. I am glad I have the final paintings .

Below a handful of oil paintings, that have been done in the last couple of years, whenever I had some time inbetween jobs. I used to see myself as a fine artist who is doing funny cartooning just to make a living, but considering my career, I think that I am at heart really a cartoonist who makes fine art for fun.

These images were made for Topps sometime in the late 80ies. They supposed to be for a series called "Loco Motion" or something like that, but they never saw the light of the day. The chief editor was Mark Newgarden and we sure had a lot of fun coming up with crazy ideas.
